Presentation Station

Free Lesson: Presentation Station

Presentation is the name of the game. I'd like to say design is 50% actual design + 50% designing the presentation. (Gotta add another 50% for marketing if it's a product).

Showing your work means knowing your audience as well as being ready for the curveballs that are destined to come your way.

In my experience, preparing 3 presentations for every deliverable is the way. Now, that may sound overkill and crazy but hear me out.

Some executives have no time and want to view your Figma files on their own. Some Art Directors want to have the full out presentation from cover to close presented to them. Some stakeholders want a quick Loom recap of your work, short and sweet.

Here's the kicker, your work may not be isolated to one person, all three types of people may want or need to see, critique and approve your work. Thus, three different ways to present.

Don't get overwhelmed though. It all boils down to preparation and process. Here is how you can setup like a boss with no extra cost.

01 Keep your Figma file clean and organized

02 Record a WIP Loom daily at EOD

03 Upload the clean WIP into Keynote / Tome

Done.

Now, if someone pops into you file or public folders or needs an update, no matter how they like to review, you're ready with some simply stellar work and crispy presentations to match.
